Orokawa Track
A 45 minute walk (one way) along approx. 15 km of good walking track. Suitable for those with moderate fitness levels and abilities.
Orokawa Bay has a beautiful white sandy beach with overhanging Pohutukawa trees and good rock fishing.
Track starts at the nothern end of Waihi Beach.
The Karangahake Walkway and Windows Walk
A selection of tracks and historic gold mining sites run throuh the Karangahake Gorge and along side the Ohinemuri River.
Car parking, rest rooms and maps are available on State Highway 2,
12 kms west of Waihi.
